Safe, reliable and precise hydraulic jacking is used in a diverse range of construction, repair, demolition and modernisation projects. Bill Boley Ltd has over 30 years' unrivalled experience and we have been involved with some truly amazing projects in that time. Our success has been built on jacking experience across a broad range of industries together with our understanding of structures and how they behave.
Our core competencies include:
Projects range from short term lifting for repair work, through to long term work lasting months or even years. The projects can range from those involving just a few manually controlled jacks of less than 25 tonnes up to multi-point computer controlled systems involving hundreds of jacks. Our work is often carried out during the night to minimise disruption.
Bridge sliding is a particular speciality for Bill Boley. Complete replacement bridge sections, weighing over 1000 tonnes, can be pulled into position in a matter of hours using powerful strand jacks and sledges. This technique ensures road or rail closures are kept to a minimum.
In most applications the jacking processes are computer controlled for optimum precision and control. During the jacking procedures we regularly utilise a range of sensors for monitoring position, displacement, weight and force.
